More information on our annual triathlon in December (Tuesday 27 Dec 2011)

Sprint Distance: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run

Short Course distance: 300m swim, 10km bike, 2km run

Swim: in Lake Benalla (or swimming pool as a back-up)

Ride: out and back course, quiet roads, marshalled (one little hill..)

Run: circuit around Lake Benalla, 75% shaded, 75% paved

RACE RULES

International Triathlon Union Rules apply. Swim caps must be worn and wet suits are allowed (although if it is very hot the are not recommended). Drafting is not allowed. 5 minute Penalty Box will be used. A shirt must be worn during the ride and run. Shoes must be worn on the run course.

RACE ENTRY

Free T-Shirt to all entries.     Age Category as at 31st December, 2011.

LATE ENTRIES

Accepted on race day - no extra fee!

REGISTRATION

At Civic Centre (at race start area)

Short Course - 1pm to 2.30pm

Sprint Distance - 1pm to 3.00pm

RACE STARTS

Short Course Start Time - 3.00pm

Sprint Distance Start Time - 5.00pm

RACE KIT

Swim Cap and T-shirt

RACE BRIEFING

15 minutes before the start of each race.

RACE FINISH

Food and drinks provided.

PRIZES

Cash prize money is being offered for professionals. Divided up as:

Product prizes provided by our sponsors for Age Group, Juniors and Teams.

PRESENTATIONS

Short Course - during bike leg of Sprint Distance.

Sprint Distance - immediately after race results are finalised.
